Sofía Is the Second Coming of Ángeles

Season 5, Episode 4 Review

«You’re the mother of my daughter. I couldn’t leave you there.» -Carlos

In the moment, that was definitely some shade toward Lidia. Ahaha, she moved to another country with Carlos’s baby and another man [Francisco].

Do you think it was wrong for Lidia to leave Carlos in season 4?

We know Lidia honors her independence and integrity above all else. It’s fair to say that she wanted more than a life as the happy wife to Carlos Cifuentes.

Right now Carlota is going through something similar with Óscar. Their relationship has become «stifling.» Partially because Carlota has the hots for James now (lol). James has that thing, which made Carlota fall for Óscar earlier in the series. He’s free. He seeks danger and a want to break the rules. Óscar has gotten complacent, while Carlota still wants reckless adventure. It seems like she’s going to choose her own desires over making someone else happy. Go Carlota!

And go Sofía! We can feel Ángeles’s strength in her bones. Felipe is very caring toward her. Hopefully they end up together in the end.

Pablo also needs to get back to Marga. They’re both going crazy without each other. Marga is so strong and earns more credit than she gets. Her friends shouldn’t have hid the news about the Nationalist’s attack.

And the episode ends with Lidia getting left behind by the milk man. And Carlos was seen firing at his own side. I’m so nervous for the next episode. Francisco is supposed to be coming to the rescue. I think Lidia will live. But something has changed in Carlos. He is hard now. He lives life as though he has nothing to lose. I guess war does that to you.

May Ángeles be with them all!!
